Stryker from KROQ: Alright. Guys, once again, give it up for 30 Seconds to Mars and every band that played tonight! KROQ Absolut Almost Acoustic Christmas, what a night, holy mackerel. Alright, I’m Stryker from KROQ in the Afternoon, the past five months, I’ve welcomed my new partner, say hi to Klein!
Klein: Hi southern California, how the hell are ya? You guys are the best radio listeners in the entire country and I’ve been fired by every station in this country.
Stryker: True.
Klein: It’s great to be here.
Stryker: Alright, next up, these guys have been and continue to be one of the best and most important bands in the history of KROQ. Here they come, Smashing Pumpkins!
Klein: Wooooo!

Friday I’m in Love
BC: Thank you so much, ladies and gentlemen, thank you! Now, before I bring out this longtime friend of the band, I’d like to say a quick word. We recorded our last album and I recorded my last solo album up in Malibu and James lives here and of course we were very, uh, sorrowed by what happened, all the people who lost their homes and the people lost their lives. So this being Christmas season, we certainly wanna reflect on those people and if anybody here was affected, I’m very sorry. It’s hard to watch and uh, being so close to people in the area and this man that I’m about to introduce, he lost his home in the fire, his studio. Michael Garson, longtime friend of the Smashing Pumpkins, started playing with David Bowie in about 1972 and that’s how I met Michael was through David. And this is our way to express our sorrow and certainly for Mike’s loss of his home. Thank god he and his family are safe. And so please give a very warm Los Angeles welcome to Michael Garson.

BC: Thank you so much, Los Angeles! What a great evening. Thank you to you for sticking around. Thank you all the great bands on the bill. Thank you to KROQ. Hopefully put some of the rock back in the KROQ. You like the rock in the KROQ? Woo! But seriously, thank you so much. We’ve reached the end, we can only thank you very much, it’s our last show of the year. We wish you a incredible, beautiful, warm holiday and we send you out with this lonesome - did I say loathsome or lonesome? - lonesome, heh heh heh. You might know this song.
