Glass and the Ghost Children
BC: Good evening. Welcome to the rock concert. It’s nice to be back here again so soon. ‘Course all of you were cuter the last time we were here. Now you’ve gotten old, just like us. So let us begin your descent into our particular hell. This is Heavy Metal Machine.
Heavy Metal Machine
> The Everlasting Gaze
BC: Thank you. ... I’d like to introduce to you - yes, I’d like to introduce to you a visionary, a prophet, a soothsayer, a professional wrestler, Mr. James Iha.
Blew Away
Stand Inside Your Love
Blue Skies Bring Tears
BC: Thank you. Like to play a, um, a song for you, um, um, wait no, let me start again. We’d like to play a song for you, um, we’ve played it a couple of times, uh, I’ve played it a couple times by myself but we’ve never played it as a band. Tonight will be the first night that we’re gonna try this song. Don’t cheer yet, you have to hear the song, you may not like it. So, uh, you know, if we make mistakes, you don’t hear them and if we look like we don’t know what we’re doing, it’s true. This is called Sunshowers and Raindrops.
Raindrops + Sunshowers
I of the Mourning
Le Deux Machina (tape)
This Time (Billy solo acoustic)
To Sheila (Billy acoustic w/Iha)
Iha: Are you ready to dance?
1979 (acoustic, Jimmy plays guitar)
(Iha while band messes around with the ending: Yeah! Take that [unintelligible] beat, come on! Unh! Yep! Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.)
Ava Adore (acoustic)
Tonight, Tonight
> Today
> Rock On
> Zero
BC: That’s pretty good actually. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 big - 9 big security guards and one hundred pound girl, that was pretty good. You must play for ‘Bama!
Mayonaise
BC: Okay.
Fuck You
[encore break]
Iha: Thank you, thank you very much. How you guys doin’ out there? It’s pretty hot.
BC: What do you mean it’s hot, James? That’s bullshit. It’s not hot.
Iha: Well actually, this suit has a thermal cooling system inside of it. I had it specially made for hot nights like this. Same as the way your air conditioning works in your car, it works in this suit. I’m gonna turn it up a little bit to medium. Okay, that’s better. ... The guitar works on the same principle of using a cable into the guitar.
Drown
(Iha over outro feedback: Thanks a lot and good night. [unintelligible])
BC: Yeah, thank you. You gotta hear this, Jimmy. Thanks a lot. God bless you. Yeah, we just wanna let you know that um, heh heh, we’re staying in town tonight so we’re gonna be going to that 24 hour transvestite bar, whatever that’s called, so we’ll see you there.
