BC: Thank you all very much, thank you. Thank you very much for coming to the second and the last show of our world tour. Of course we know the reason that you all here are here tonight is because you couldn't stand in line first because you all had jobs unlike the people last night. To the working man and girl. We'd like to take you back to a land of long ago. Way back in the time of Adore-ation.
To Sheila
Wound
BC: We'd now like to take you down, way down to a land where there are no stars, no heroes, only lovers, mental guns, kisses that are bullets and bunch of guys that look like James. That's the land we're going to.
Ava Adore
> I Am One
(BC: Now we speak of revolution, yeah. Now we reach for reanimation, yeah. Rip forth the eyes of this recalculation repast. Return to form. We welcome you, we welcome you, we welcome you to the sanctity, to the sanctity of purity. There’s no avarice here, only soul power. Welcome to the return of the Smashing Pumpkins. Return, re-energize, relapsed, reformed, recalculated, responding. And you say “Why?” Maybe you don’t say “Why?” but I say “Why?” Why would we reform, re-energize, recalculate, re-approach, reassess? What brings us to this very moment here? We have come, we have come, we have come to exact, exact our revenge. This time, instead of swirling the negativity and shoving it down the fucking throats of America, we’re going to gather the positivity. We’re gonna take all the love we have in our bellies, we’re gonna swirl it around, we’re gonna light it on fire and we’re gonna hurl it into the chasm. That’s it. Into the penetrating mind, into the penetrating you, into the penetrating soul! Into the god loving heart. So take this moment right here. Let’s take this moment right here. Let’s thank whoever we gotta thank. Let’s wish for happy dreams and a good life. It’s all possible, it’s all possible, it’s all possible, it’s all possible. Do not let the negative barrage of the internet and the magazines, the radio, the TV penetrate your very soul. Do not let them tell you that you are not an individual, do not let them tell you that you are not important. Whoo! Yeah. These are hallow words from a suburban boy but I mean them. Across this chasm, this chasm, this chasm we roam, like buffalo of old. We ask for support and love. We ask and we shall receive. We are the machines. We are the dream. We speak this dream. We are the machines of god.)
The Crying Tree of Mercury
BC: Thank you very much, thank you.
Pale Scales
> The Everlasting Gaze
Rock On
(BC over Iha solo: Ladies and gentlemen, Squeaky Fromme on the lead guitar.)
BC: Thank you all so very much. I don't know if you got the message of that song. I won't reiterate it but I hope it penetrated.
Iha: I guess the basic gist was to rock. That's what I caught from the famous David Essex song. Although I'm not sure what rocking on, I suppose you could rock off, that's just as valid. There's a Stones song called Rocks Off but David Essex apparently chose Rock...On. Alright, let's continue with the rock on or off, whatever you choose. Another new song from our new album which most of you probably haven't heard.
BC: (laughing) What did you say?
Iha: Heh. Another new song from our new album which - rock on/rock off - you haven't heard yet.
I of the Mourning
Cherub Rock
(BC over extended drum intro: We present to you the incomparable, the insufferable, the intolerable Cherub Rock.)
[encore break]
Iha: Thanks very much, you guys have been great. Power to the people. As you probably have discerned, we're going to do some acoustic songs. We practiced this song many times and it's hard to beat, uh - it's hard to beat the synchronicity of the drum machine so Jimmy has taken upon himself to play the guitar with us.
1979 (acoustic, Jimmy plays guitar)
Norwegian Wood (tease)
Iha: It's an old Beatles tune. There is no point to that comment, I’m just...commenting on the beat.
BC: This is a song from Adore called The Tale of Dusty and Pistol Pete.
The Tale of Dusty and Pistol Pete (acoustic)
BC: Thank you.
[encore break]
Iha: Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thanks again. We'd like to welcome back to the drum throne, Mr. Jimmy Chamberlin. And on bass, we'd like to welcome Miss Melissa. Thank you very much, curfew is approaching so we must play our songs at three times their normal speed so slow down your brains and then you will hear ‘em properly.
Stand Inside Your Love
X.Y.U.
(BC towards end of song: So this journey is almost over. Shhhh. Let’s end in some style for a change. (Melissa and Jimmy stop playing, James is playing under the rest of Billy talking) It’s very much like us to try to go for this one last epiphany kind of moment but now that we’ve gotten a little older, we’re kinda getting over that so we’ll just stop there. (James keeps doodling) Are you telling me you got more? More, heh, more in the wildfoot? Is that what you’re saying? I think you’ve got a little more to offer. Are you sure you wanna do this?)
> We Love You

put your hands into the skyyyyyyyyyy!
we’re gonna get so hiiiiiiigh!
we’re gonna reach for the staaaaaarrs!
‘cause you’re all super staaars! (screams)

we love you
we love you
we love you
we love you
we love you
we love you
we love you
yes, we love each and every one of you
oh, we love you

we’re gonna go to the moon
gonna kiss the sun
gonna reach forever
‘cause i am one
gonna know you
with the serpent’s fire
with every last kiss
that would ever transpire, (screams)

we love you!
we love you!
we love you!
we love you
we love you
we love you
we love us
we love us
do you love us
do you love us
do you love us?!
do you love us?!
do you love us?!
do you love us?!

BC: So we say goodbye from our mind’s eye. We thank you, all the [unintelligible word]. There’s nothing more left to give. That’s it, that’s it, that’s it! Hahahaha.

(song ends)

BC: God bless everybody, god bless you. Thank you for a great concert, thank you, love you. Thank you.
Iha: (screams)
