Fuck You
BC: Thanks.
By Starlight
“Thank you for participating” tape
> Tonight, Tonight
BC: Hello.
Iha: Bon giorno!
BC: Thank you very much for coming to the show. (noodles on guitar for a moment) That was our new direction for those of you wondering, heh.
Iha: Yes, we’re gonna make a jazz album so we hope you enjoy it.
BC: Why?
Iha: Why? T-today...is the greatest day.
Today

> Thru the Eyes of Ruby
Drown
> Hummer (tease)
BC: Thank you very much.
La Dolly Vita (tease) (acoustic)
BC: Like to play you our um, our new single, this is Thirty-three.
Thirty-three (acoustic)
> Sweet Sweet (tease - once through the riff) (acoustic)
BC: Thank you very much. Is everyone havin' a good time? Was anyone here when we played in uh, 1994? Hello again. As you can see, we are now the happy Pumpkins, not the sad ones anyway.
Disarm (acoustic)
Circus tape
> Bullet with Butterfly Wings
BC: Thanks, thank you very much. So um, what do you wanna hear? Well, this person has a sign that says Snail, we don't remember how to play that. And Soma and Geek, we don't remember how to play those songs either. Uh, any other suggestions that we don’t know how to play?
Iha: Yeah. Well, we're gonna play this other song. It’s in honor of Thanksgiving, this is Ode to a Lonely Turkey, we hope you enjoy it.
BC: Just remember that when you're eating that turkey, it was once a free, happy turkey.
Iha: With a mind! With a mind of its own.
BC: And soon the turkey will be in your belly and you will feel guilty.
Iha: Guilt, they say, we say. ‘Course we’re gonna all eat turkey so that’s why.
BC: Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving, all guilty and stuff.
Muzzle
Porcelina of the Vast Oceans / Rocket
[encore break]
Iha: Thank you everybody. How is everybody, great, rocking reasonably? We haven't been too psychedelic? No? You're still with us? Still up for a mind over body deal? Ain't got no selector. Alright, for these next songs we journey oh so far back, pre-grunge. This is our classic part of our set. We hope you enjoy it. This is from our uh...fourth album, Waterloo.
Siva
Mayonaise
BC: Thanks, god bless you.
[encore break]
Iha: How are ya? Ladies and gentlemen, we have - we have entered into the full scale entertainment part of our arena rock cliche...so we will bring out a special guest. Ladies and gentlemen, all the way from Milwaukee, the great state, oh so great, Jimmy Frog! Hey...Jimmy Frog. Jimmy Frog! Oh, I can see the excitement on your faces. And, ladies and gentlemen, on the keyboards, from the band Night Ranger, Dennis Flemion! Yes. Any of you who are fans of Sister Christian, we have him right here. Happy to play keyboards with us, rock out in the ‘90s. And now...and now! The man behind the drums, Matt “Cosmo” Walker! Matt “Cosmo” Walker, he’s a likeable guy, took four years of college and he's happy to be here with us, rocking for you. And now, we have entered into what we would deem...audience participation.
BC: I don't know...
Iha: Don’t grow up.
BC: ...most of the audience has left, I'm not sure there’s anyone to participate with.
Iha: Oh, it’s, it’s a dubious position, as they say.
BC: Would anyone here like to come on stage and dance? Jimmy, choose the dancers.
(Matt starts a disco beat)
Iha: Choose.... Oh yeah, come on, fuckin' people of Biloxi. I gotta feel it, come on people! Get those hands in the air like you just don't care! Come on! Oh yeah, yeah, oh yeah. Come on, get those - yeah! [unintelligible muttering] Jimmy, pick our dancers, alright!
BC: Oh yeah. Do some funky, Matt Walkman!
(Matt changes to a more funky beat)
Iha: Damn.
BC: Oh yeah.
Iha: Alright. I believe we have our dancers. Alright, Jimmy. Jimmy, have you picked our dancers? (Matt and Dennis stop) Alright, dancers, come - come ye hither.
BC: Hello dancers. Heh heh.
Iha: Yo yo.
BC: Come close.
Jimmy Frog: [unintelligible]
BC: Come close, the Pumpkin king will not hurt you. Let's take a moment to get to know tonight's dancers. Please tell everyone who you are and where you're from.
Girl #1: Frances Lee from Biloxi.
Girl #2: Latisha and I’m from Biloxi.
Girl #3: Michelle [unintelligible last name], Cut Off, Louisiana.
Girl #4: Shana Glenmont from Houma, Lousisiana.
Guy #1: John Rees from Cut Off, Louisiana, (growls).
BC: I don't know what that means but uh....
Guy #2: Andrew Berg, I got my boy, woo hoo!!!
Iha: Would you please - would you please speak English?
BC: Heh heh. This must be some kind of strange fuckin' Mississippi thing.
Iha: I believe - I believe that is the [3 unintelligible words].
BC: All I'll say is we're from the north and we’re glad we won the war.
Iha: Whoa ho ho ho!
Girl #5: I’m Ashlyn from New Orleans.
Girl #6: [unintelligible first name] Opal from New Orleans.
BC: No relation to [2 unintelligible words] right there. Okay, dancers, Mr. Iha...
Iha: Yes.
BC: ...has some instructions, please pay attention to James.
Iha: Okay, we have two rules for our dancers, two rules.
BC: I think we should have three rules.
Iha: Three rules, I'll make up one. Uh...don't eat red meat, uh, go to college and be [unintelligible word]. Um, two rules for our dancers: do not touch us and do not touch our shit.
BC: What do you think up it - then there's a third rule, I got a third rule.
Iha: Yes, what is a third rule?
BC: If you're going to dance on stage, you have to pretend you're having a good time.
Iha: Yes, yes.
BC: So they’re being a little bad.
Iha: Alright, and for those of you who cannot dance with us on stage, I encourage you to dance on stage with us but do it in your mind, yes, any of you who have Yanni CDs will know what I'm talking about.
1979 (with Jimmy Flemion)
Iha: Shocking as that seemed, it’s okay, we got some fine enthusiasm for our dancers so let’s have a round of applause for our dancers tonight. We thank them.
BC: This will be our final selection of the evening, thank you very much for coming. We appreciate your support very much and um, we hope you had a good time, enjoyed the concert. Please go home safely, those kind of things.
Iha: Have a - have a happy Thanksgiving.
The End is the Beginning is the End (tease)
Starla / Beautiful
BC: Thanks. Bye bye.
