The Pumpkins launched their nine-date club tour with a bang! The Official Smashing Pumpkins Website announced the day of the show that Jimmy was indeed officially back in the band. As if Jimmy's presence were not enough, the Pumpkins brought out material from every album, and even a b-side that has not been played live as a band in a decade, "La Dolly Vita." Approximately ten post-Adore songs were also played. Doors opened at 8pm and moshing was tightly controlled.

MTV had cameras all over the place, and filmed the entire show for a possible future broadcast.

The SPLRA staged a sign campaign beginning with this show. Tonight's message: Welcome Back Jimmy! The signs were held up at the beginning of the show by perhaps two thirds of those in attendance. They were acknowledged by D'Arcy later in the show. You can hear that in the audio file available above.

The first four songs of the show were broadcast live on the Internet through The Official Smashing Pumpkins Website. Due to the high demand for this content, it seems more people came up empty than were able to actually enjoy the broadcast. Interestingly, the Pumpkins soundcheck was broadcast earlier in the evening, perhaps to test the cutting-edge streaming technology employed.
