This was a free concert in celebration of the Hamburgs Hafengeburtstag harbor anniversary. It was held in the Speilbudenplatz public square, between the streets of Spielbudenplatz and Refferbahn, in the heart of the city. Concert organizers expected only 5,000 people to attend, but newspaper reports estimate at least 25,000 people were there. People were everywhere, on rooftops and balconies, on top of cars and busses, and even telephone booths. The band took the stage at 7:15p. D'Arcy wore a strange gray hat. The concert ended at 9:10p.

WDR1's Eins Live broadcast 60 minutes after the show. VIVA TV recorded the show from a camera in front of the stage and a roving camera on stage, and broadcast 60 minutes on 05.21.98. New Zealand television broadcast the entire show sometime in October. Fritz radio broadcast the entire show 12.27.98.
