Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness Intro
Where Boys Fear to Tread
> Zero
BC: Hi, good evening, hello. We're the Smashing Pumpkins, thank you for coming.
Fuck You
Iha: Hey, thanks a lot.
To Forgive
> Today
> Planet of the Apes clip
> Thru the Eyes of Ruby
Porcelina of the Vast Oceans / Beautiful / Rocket
BC: Thank you. Um, you know when I was little, I used to watch Dr. J play in this...place. This is pre-Michael Jordan of course and uh, every kid wanted to be like Dr. J, you know. So uh, when I was little, I used to watch this place on TV...and watch Dr. J play.
Iha: The Spectrum.
BC: And who knew?
Iha: Who knew?
BC: Who knew that I'd someday play here but just not basketball?
Iha: How do you figure that?
BC: Because I was such a failure at basketball, I'm here now playing music for you.
Iha: Alright, heh heh. How is everybody, okay? Yes? Great.
BC: Wait James!
Iha: What, what, what?
BC: Why don't you tell everyone about your hoop dreams?
Iha: Well, my hoop dreams began just last year. I began...what?
BC: (off mic) I’m listening.
Iha: Oh okay. Well, I began as a small child, just last year, learning how to ride a bike. I as a child never had a bike. I'm not just talking about a motorcycle but a bike. And now, I now have the motor skills after playing in this band and after going to school to learn how to ride a bike. And I'm happy to be here in the Spectrum! You didn’t think of that! I’m sure this is like any other story. You might have one too and I'd bring you all up on stage but there's like fucking fifteen thousand of you and I can't do that!
Disarm (acoustic)
Circus tape
> Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Cherub Rock
Classical music tape
> Tonight, Tonight
[encore break]
BC: Ready, Steve?
Iha: Hey, the fucking B note won't get in tune. I'm sure this happens to you quite often. Okay, ready to rock and roll.
X.Y.U.
[encore break]
Iha: Woo!
BC: Thank you. We realize it's kind of late in the concert and everything but seeing as it's such an intimate evening, we thought we'd play something that you don't know. You've probably never heard this song before, it's on an obscure, uh, Brazilian b-side but a lot of the fans of the band seem to like this song so we thought you'd play it for you tonight. But now you know how we don't play this song very much so please be patient with us.
Iha: Alright.
1979
BC: Thank you. We'd like to dedicate this next song to our friends and our family and uh, the people we love, the people who help us, the people who take care of us. Without them, we wouldn't be able to get up here and bore you every night and uh, of course to you, thank you.
Muzzle
[encore break]
Iha: Alright.
BC: Ethan! (crowd cheers as lights go on)
Iha: Rock, rock.
BC: I'd like to say a special thank you to you people way up there. Heh. No, not you! Those people way up there. I see you up there rockin’ out, thank you. You too, just kidding. And a special thank you to you crazy fuckers.
Iha: [unintelligible sentence]
BC: Thank you to everybody for staying. We realize we're interminably long but that's the way we like it.
Silverfuck / X.Y.U. / Eye / Dose
(Iha a few seconds after song starts: Alright, let's tune your mind [unintelligible word].)
