Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness Intro
Fuck You
> Zero
Today
BC: Hi. We are Les Rita Mitsouko.
To Forgive
BC: Thank you. Bonsoir! Bonsoir mes amis. Uh...uh...uh, je world is je vampire?
Bullet with Butterfly Wings
BC: We'd like to thank our opening band Filter...for rocking your asses off. Like to play another song from our album, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Fad.
Thru the Eyes of Ruby
Porcelina of the Vast Oceans / Rocket
Tonight, Tonight
Iha: How are you, okay? Are you dying out there? Je suis fatigué. Heh! Aww, heh, awww. Ça va? Ça va bien...dã d'accord.
improv (acoustic)
(BC: I’ve got the mad cow blues. The mad cow blues. I’ve got the loco hepper dues, heh heh. I’ve got the mad cow blues, ooh-ooh-ooh. You know I love you, mad cow. But you have to go. I loved you so, Bessie, and now I must shoot you in the head. Because no one trusts our beef anymore. So you must go instead. Bye bye...mad cow...mad cow, bye bye, moo, bye.
D’arcy: Moo.)
> Disarm (acoustic)
D’arcy: I can't help but wonder with that last little ditty, what does a French cow say? No one knows. Heh heh. It's no joke, I really wanna know.
Guy in crowd: Baaaaaaaaa!
D’arcy: Baa! Heh. If you can figure it out, write it down on a piece of paper and hand it in after the show.
BC: Alright, who speaks English? Alright, for those of you who speak English, please translate to the people who don't speak English next to you.
D’arcy: Sorry we don't speak very much French but....
BC: We don't speak very much French.
D’arcy: We can speak but we don't understand.
Iha: Je ne’s pas.
BC: That’s right. Je ne’s sais pas. Uh, okay, let's go through a couple facts of the concert. One, it is very hot. Two, we are very hot. It is tres difficile to continue playing. Now, we will play for as long as you want us to play. But you gotta give up something here, it's too quiet, it's too lame, it's not a very good rock concert. Yes, si, oui. Now, are you gonna give us some incentive to play or not? That doesn't sound very tres enthusiastic.
Iha: No.
BC: Of course, I am being my tres difficile self, Billy. Translate please.
Iha: Difficult American.
BC: Difficult American. So....
Iha: Let us rock, [French word] suis. (crowd chanting) Oh, oh.
BC: Alright. Hit it, Jimmy.
Geek U.S.A.
> Cherub Rock
(BC over very end: Thank you.)
[encore break]
Iha: Thanks. Are you still okay, okay? (imitating crowd chanting) D’arcy, D’arcy, D’arcy. D’arcy, D’arcy, D’arcy. Everybody, let's dance, I want you to dance. On this next song, pogo!
1979
Kerry Brown: Sure is a hot one tonight.
X.Y.U.
[encore break]
Iha: [unintelligible but sounds like “No problem!”]
D’arcy: Yeah, I sold ya, didn’t I? That's just a joke we like to play sometimes, yeah.
Iha: Every night it’s the same joke.
D’arcy: Sorry about that, we have a bad sense of humor.
BC: Ah, The Rattler! Thanks for being so coool. You French kids are fuckin’ crazy. Tres loco!...mon amis. Do a little thing we call The Rattler.
Bodies
> Silverfuck / Dose
> Farewell and Goodnight
(After Jimmy sings his first line (correctly), instead of “head light,” D’arcy says “What?” Billy then sings D'arcy's line “With wishes of a sandman and a...” in a high voice. Shortly after, instead of “A silver rain will wash away", D’arcy sings “Jimmy sings the wrong words.” Jimmy replies “What are you doing?”)
(Later, Billy sings “And you can tell - sorry, man! And you can tell...” Jimmy says “That’s because he struck out, you guys!”)
(below is over piano outro)
Jimmy: Merci.
D’arcy: Merci.
Jimmy and D’arcy together: Beaucoup.
BC: Beacoup!
Iha: Bon nuit, goodnight.
> Frère Jacques (tease)
(BC: (singing) Frère Jacques, Frère Jacques, dormez-vous? Dormez-vous? Would you like cupcakes, would you like cupcakes, dormez-vous.
D’arcy: Ding dang dong.
BC: (high pitched laughing) (singing, voice getting progressively higher until he’s quietly screaming) Frère Jacques, Frère Jacques, Frère Jacques!)
> Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (tease)
(Billy makes guitar noises for a few seconds and puts an echo pedal on. Melvoin plays for a few more seconds and then stops.)
BC: God bless you, thank you. Bonsoir! Bonsoir!
