Corgan: Recently we, uh, passed the 25th anniversary of the first Smashing Pumpkins show. [applause] And is the 20th anniversary of Siamese Dream on your list? [unintelligible, laughs] This is Jeff on the guitar. On the drums, Mister Michael Byrne. On the bass guitar, Nicole Fiorentino. I don't know how many times I've played here in Paradiso, I don't know how many times I've played this venue, and how many times I've stood on this stage. Fifth time or third time? Fourth time? Fourth time. Okay, it's gotta be the last. No I love this venue, it's a beautiful, beautiful venue... and they seem to understand me, they love the rock 'n' roll, love The Smashing Pumpkins. As they say in America, I'm getting a little long in the tooth, that's old, you know... old. Yes. 46 years old... [unintelligible] Anyway. So I wanna take this opportunity, because I don't normally say thank you the way I wanna say thank you, I mean I say thank you, but I don't always say thank you the way I wanna say thank you...
[Lady in the audience: "I will show you! Come here!" audience cheers]
Corgan: [laughs, unintelligible] go for pancakes... I don't know what the Dutch word for pancake is… I'm staying in town. Maybe that's why I haven't found it at home, because I've found love here.
Schroeder: [unintelligible] ...bicycles.
Corgan: There seems to be a lot of beautiful women riding bicycles. It is a correlation there. Anyway... [unintelligible] So let's just go on with the fun, 'cause that's what the The Smashing Pumpkins is about, fun... F U N in big letters, F U N. You're having a good time? 'Cause in America they say to me, often when I talk like this, shut the fuck up and play. So I'm gonna shut the fuck up and play. This is the title track... [rec cuts]
